Where are you from?
Our family moved across the ditch from Christchurch NZ, in September 2017. We started attending NewLife shortly after this. It’s fair to say they have become our Australian family.
Tell us about your family.
I’m married to Ben and we have two young girls, who are now both at school. The rest of our family are in Christchurch, NZ.
How’d you come to know Jesus?
I was fortunate to grow up in a Christian family who not only taught but modelled to me, that Jesus is our Saviour and Lord. My faith really became my own at 16 after going on Teen Missions to Australia, and helping to build a church in Vanuatu.
What did you do before you worked at NewLife?
I’ve done many things before… Primary School Teacher, Youth & Worship Pastor, Office Administrator/PA, Community Youth Worker, Accounts clerk and even a NZ Post/Bank teller.
What inspires you about this role?
It’s a pleasure to be able to support the Staff team, relieve workload from them and also help with the smooth running of church behind the scenes. Admin has always been something I’ve enjoyed, but being able to give my time to building God’s kingdom, is a true privilege.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, watching movies, going for walks, playing keys and singing, and going out for the occasional fancy dinner with Ben.
