Jesus for the Curious

NewLife Anglican / Jesus for the Curious

Spend four weeks considering Jesus’ claim, “I have come that you may have life and have it to the full.” Jesus for the Curious is a course for those who’d like to know more.

Course coming up: 22, 29 of May and the 5, 12 of June 2024.

+ Who’s it for?

You. If you’ve clicked to this page you’re welcome to join us! We feel that this course would be especially helpful for parents who have children joining in with SRE at OPPS or who have begun schooling at OPAC and are wondering themselves what their children will be taught. The course doesn’t assume any biblical background and is a place to ask your questions and engage with Jesus as He is presented in Mark’s account of His life in the New Testament.

+ Will I have to read or pray out loud?

No. It really is a group in which you can pick your own level of engagement. Since we don’t assume any prior Christian faith there’s absolutely no expectation that you will have to pray – though the leader Pastor Stuart will at some point!

+ Do I need to pay or bring anything?

No. The course is absolutely free and a Bible will be provided in a modern easy to read translation. We’ll even put the kettle on and provide tea and coffee.

+ Where is it running?

This term we are running it at Oran Park Anglican College,  7:30pm to 9:00pm (at the latest) on Wednesday nights, over four weeks. There’s no issues if you can’t make a night – we can either direct you to material you can read in your own time or arrange a chance to catch it up after the course is completed if you should so wish.

If you’d like to let us know you’re coming you can drop Stuart an email via our contacts page.
