Where are you from?
Born in South Africa, immigrated to NZ after finishing school and after a short stint in South Africa moved to Australia. Still here after 11 years and so thankful for such a beautiful and generous country!
Tell us about your family.
I am married to Ebert and we have 4 human kids and 1 furry one.
How’d you come to know Jesus?
I was brought up in a loving Christian family and was blessed at the age of 12 to openly say that I would like to daily turn my eyes to Jesus and follow Him.
What did you do before you worked at NewLife?
I’ve done a variety of things, managing a small home schooling business, data entry for Woolworths, trained and worked as a Pilates instructor but mostly I have spend time raising my children.
What inspires you about this role?
It’s a pleasure to be able to support the Staff team, relieve workload from them and also help with the smooth running of church behind the scenes. Admin has always been something I’ve enjoyed, but being able to give my time to building God’s kingdom, is a true privilege.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love spending time with my family, going for walks, going to the beach, exploring new bush walks and cooking or baking together. If I have a few minutes to myself I love making music, building a puzzle or do a bit of Pilates.
