Where are you from?

Northern beaches and a place called North Manly (now Allambie).

Tell us about your family.

Married at a tender 20 years of age. Wife Ros married 41years. 4 Children Simon, Ben, Hannah and Rebekah. 7 soon to be 9 grandchildren God willing. Mum still kicking, very healthy. Sister and Brother and families.

How’d you come to know Jesus?

At the age of 17 listening to talks on 1 Corinthians 1-4 and prayer (and chats) by my now wife, friends, Nanna Pearl, Ministry Team including Father-in-law. Regularly sitting under God’s word and asking questions.

What did you do before you became a pastor?

Began a BSW degree. Then worked briefly (1.5 years) in hospitals in ER, the Morgue and various wards to earn money. This continued during Theological Study for 4 years.

What inspires you about this role?

Introducing all ages to Jesus and seeing them ‘persuaded’ and built up in Him. Changed lives. Being described as a ‘fellow worker with God’ and the Apostles and Jesus. Teamwork. Other Christians.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Spending time with Ros, family and friends. BEACH and surf, Resting, reading, listening, bush walks, sleeping, movies, Sci-Fi, fossils, rocks and minerals, fishing. Tennis and watching Rugby and any sport really except boxing, aqua aerobics, golf, some forms of cricket.
