Where are you from?

I grew up in Beverly Hills. After marrying Kathy in 1975, we lived at Revesby and then moved to the Menai area. After finishing Moore College in 1995 I spent 2½ years at Sylvania, before moving to the Lower North Shore for 15 years, where we ministered in the Parishes of Willoughby East and Longueville. We moved to Oran Park in 2014.

Tell us about your family.

Married to Kathy and we have four children – two boys and two girls – all of whom are now married. We have four grandchildren.

How’d you come to know Jesus?

My parents sent me to Sunday School while I was in primary school. In High School some Christian friends invited me to a youth fellowship group where I was challenged to think about my relationship to Jesus. I gave my life to Christ when I was 15.

What did you do before you became a pastor?

My ‘first’ career was as an Electrical Engineer with the Electricity Commission of NSW for 17 years and later with ADI at Garden Island.

What inspires you about this role?

It is a joy and a privilege to see God’s hand at work in the lives of people I have been called to serve. We serve a great God who does amazing things and it is wonderful to be a part of his purposes not only for my life but in the lives of others as well. In late 2012 we felt God calling us to move to Oran Park to become a part of this rapidly expanding community and to assist with growing ministry of NewLife Church.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy building things from models to landscaping to woodwork and house renovations. I also enjoy travelling, watching movies, reading, eating out (not so good for the waistline!), and spending quality time with my wonderful wife, Kathy.

How can we get in touch?

I’d love to hear from you. You can get in touch via our contacts page.
