How do prophets talk? How do events facing Israel 800BC affect the future. The prophets point to salvation that Jesus brings when he returns. Israel’s past history Genesis 1 to 1 Kings 10 speak of Creation, Exodus, Covenant/Law, Promised land, promised King, Jerusalem and the temple. 1 Kings 11 to Malachi are about the NEW creation, New Exodus, NEW Covenant etc. God is promising to bring salvation through judgement. It is time to wonder at what God has done and imagine the world that God will bring.
